Looking to finally get a new gaming laptop, preferably MSI, but the last one I bought was 4 years ago.

Can someone please tell me what the best display is now in the $1500-$2000 budget?

That is the main reason I want a new laptop... mine in well lit areas the screen is not very bright. I skimped on the screen when I bought it and was the biggest regret I had.

Thanks!

Edit: Sorry forgot to add I want at least 17.3" screen...

The 870m is significantly less powerful than a 980m.

Ok, another question. Is there another website to build laptops besides here that is reputable?

Trying to customize it as cheap as possible... I do not need an OS unless it's required.

Main things I'm looking for are:

8gb ram 1600+
120+gb SSD
i5 CPU but prefer i7
dedicated gfx capable for most of todays games at medium-high settings (mainly the occasional D3)

And as mentioned about, I want a really good screen. I want to be able to sit in my truck (I am outside sales so always on the go) and be able to see my screen clearly with sunlight hitting the screen.

Thanks!

XoticPC is one of the better places to configure a laptop, you can choose to get an OS or not which also saves you $$.

Pretty sure there's a matte screen option when customizing, should do fine even in sunlight.
