i just got a ssd and want to install some steam games on it. when i go to add a new folder to download to i get the error "New steam libary folder cant be the drive root" how can i fix this?

Create a new folder and choose it.
It literally says, you cannot use drive root as steam folder.

So, create a new folder on the ssd and choose it.

for example

x:\ <-- driver "x" root
x:\steamfolder\ <-- folder named "steamfolder" on driver "x"



Why haven't somebody helped this guy? been more than 2 days lel

Put it in another folder on the root...maybe S GAMES or something
