I am currently using a nvidia geforce gt 610 which came with my desktop pc. I have decided to upgrade to a gigabyte nvidia gtx 750.

When i installed and started the pc it just froze at the bios screen. Usually the bios screen flashes and just disappears. I brought it to a local repair shop and they told be it was because my motherboard gigabyte ga z77 d3h does not support nvidia graphics cards only amd.

I trust the guy at the shop but I am hoping i can get a confirmation/2nd opinion. I am new to computer hardwares so if someone can give me some insight on how this works please let me know.

He's full of crap. Is your comp a prebuilt or did you build it? What Windows version, and did you mess with the vid drivers?

/e Oh yeah, what make and model is your power supply?

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download ...get the FREE version from the: Piriform Link ...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility....simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

But Speccy doesn't list the power supply so we need to know that.
