POSSIBLY need a wireless card, moving to new place this month, if router is going to be placed in living room then I will go wireless
don't think I need a dedicated sound card, the one on mother board should be fine.

Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?:
Probably won't be oc'ing yet, have never done it before, willing to try, but wont do anything extreme, but will probably want aftermarket cooling.
I heard liquid cooling can be louder than air cooling and performance-wise its about same unless you do custom loops? if this is true, then I will probably do air cooling.

I would prefer a 4k monitor, but haven't found one I really like, I saw one with 1ms response and g-sync, but it is 60hz refresh. not sure if it is a good monitor.
The asus swift looks nice, but its not 4k.
then there is the route of 3x 1080 monitors, need help on this one.

i can go up to 800-1k on monitor, but ofc cheaper wouldn't hurt if the performance is there

REALLY need help on deciding a monitor! build-wise I have some ideas, but would be awesome if people throw ideas at me.
I'm fairly sure I want to go 2x gtx980 + a x99 board + i7-5820k, storage-wise I don't really need too much storage, will probably just get a 500g ssd and add a hard drive later if I need one.
Main concern is about which board to go for, which memory, what power supply, cooling, and CASE.
I've looked about couple of cases just can't decide which one is best.
I saw the phantek enthoo pro (and luxe version), and the nxzt h440.
I liked them both, not sure which is better, and if there are similar ones to compare.

Right now that market is changing, a LOT...might wanna take a wait and see approach for that kind of budget.

/e I would spend some time reading the reviews, in depth, of the new hardware coming out. If you build now, you may find a quantum leap in comp technology in 4-6 moths. Prices are going to vary widly in the intervening time as well.

Intel is releasing Broadwell sometime within the next 3-5 months. It will fit in the LGA 1150 socket and work on the h/z97 chipsets and support DDR3 memory. Skylake will come out Q4 this year but it will require a new chipset and socket. The Intel 100 series chipset is going to replace the 90 series for Skylake and this is supposedly going to be a DDR4 platform.

As it currently stands, there is no reason to get an x99 build.

did a quick search, seems there will be multiple broadwell chips coming out, the ones supported by 1150 will still be quadcore where as there will be up to 18 cores / 36 thread, 35mb cache on the top end for 2011-v3 socket
and isnt ddr4 faster than ddr3? i know the performance increase isn't much at this point, but later down the line when I do another upgrade it should be more noticeable?

The 2011-3 Broadwell chips are going to be server processors (Xeon) while the consumer grade K versions are going to be quad cores in the LGA 1150.
