So my hard drive is only detected when my optical drive is disconnected. It occasionally will detect both, but when I go to install windows it doesn't detect the hard drive. I have switched the power and data cables between them and changed which ports theyre connected to on the mobo and still the same thing. The HDD is detected every time I disconnect the optical drive. Is it a bad HDD or am I doing something wrong

update the driver when it works or update the bios if that dont work.

Anyone else have any input?

Ya the HDD was bad, went to best buy bought a ssd and windows is installing right now.
