Sorry for caps.

My PSU will not turn my whole rig on with my gpu plugged in.

I am using it right now with my motherboards graphics card thats in it or whatever.

Here are my PSU and GPU:

Radeon HD7950

750W Rosewill psu

I am kind of still computer-stupid so I will need this in 'dumb mans' terms. (Do I need to buy a new PSU)

Like I said, Im using it fine with the GPU not plugged into the power

How much have you tried simply replugging everything in and making sure everything is securely plugged in?

Also, is the 7950 new? is the PSU new?

I have unplugged every cord to/from my PSU and plugged them back in about 3 times.

They are about 1.5 years old.

Havent had a problem with either of them, though I recently switched to Dual Monitors (dont know if I am asking too much of the PSU or something)

Well if I'm understanding you correctly,
Your computer works without the gpu, but when you slot the gpu, the computer will not startup?
What is the power supply? Hive? Capstone?

Rosewill Hive-750

And yes. This happened suddenly after i joined a skype call if that helps.

Will not turn on when the gpu is plugged into psu.

when it is plugged in, everything turns on for about .5 seconds (lights on the fans but no fan movement) and then stops.

Honestly, you would need a spare psu/gpu, to find out which one is really causing the problem. The hive should be more than enough to power your system. Although, I had a very similar problem with that exact same mobo/cpu too, :P
After I got a new mobo, it fixed that weird problem.
