Lookin' to overclock my 8350 and I'm curious on a cooler for it. I'm buying the Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower Case so room shouldn't be an issue.

For those of you who have effectively o/c'd this CPU before, I'm looking for your take.

Came across this Cooler Master monster and am considering it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103189&leaderboard=1
I realize a lot of people seem to have difficulty installing it but I'm not too concerned with that, I'll figure it out.

Looking to stick to my red/black theme
Looking for quietness
Budget no more than around $100

Thanks in advance B)

I've looked at these before, and several other liquid coolers, not sure I want to go the liquid cooling route. I forgot to state that in my initial post. Thanks for your take tho I'll keep them in mind :)

how big of an overclock? people seem to have pretty good OC's out of the 212 hyper ( cooler master ) and it's super cheap.

i hope you have CM psu, fans, keyboard, etc... for full fanboy status B)

Yeah I'm definitely considering the Hyper 212 route. I'm not entirely a CM fanboy but certainly multiple CM parts :)
Not sure how high I'd like to go, 4.3 is probably easily accessible (auto o/c via mobo) and I've read that 5.0 can be tough to stabilize under fan cooling as opposed to liquid so I'll keep that in mind as well.

4.4 is doable for most chips on the stock heatsink

I wouldn't recommend a CM power supply...I would go with EVGA, Corsair, Seasonic, Antec.

5.0 can be tricky due to the chip it's self, they won't all hit that even if you have the temps down. if you wanna spend more and have a beast heatsink, there's quite a few options:

Noctua NH-D14
Noctua NH-D15 ( new one, good if you have higher ram heatsinks )
Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 ( i got mine on sale, was 70$ with shipping and tax, from NCIX US )
Promilitech Megahalem ( im sure i fucked up the spelling )

Yep I steer clear of CM PSU's :) I currently have a Rosewill 650 80+ Bronze.

I've seen good things on those Noctua coolers.
Those 3 other vendors I'm not very familiar with but I see the brands are pretty common.
Thanks ^_^
