So i recently reformatted, and downloaded the latest amd drivers for my 290x.
Since then my dual monitors haven't worked.
My main one works fine
My second one works until windows boots (after bios),
it was also working before reformat, and before I installed driver (windows default driver)
I've tried identifying via windows and amd control centre.
I also decided to update it to the latest Beta driver aswell.
so currently have the beta driver installed.
any ideas?
both monitors are running from DVI slots
full pc stats in profile if you need to see them?

Check the resolution settings on the second monitor.

Also ensure both monitors are plugged into the video card, and AMD has a trouble shooting option for displays under the Catalyst control center.

1. Set Windows Updates to Manual. [ START > search box ...type: services.msc ...scroll down to Windows Update and double click, and set to Manual and Stopped]
2. For Win 7 64 bit...get the non Beta ( the top one) here:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64
....For Windows 8/8.1 64 bit, get the (top) drivers here:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+8.1+-+64
3. Go here and follow the AMD directions:
http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=69168959&f=188
Then at least we'll know the driver is NOT the problem.
Make sure each monitor is SET to DVI input.
In CCC choose dual monitor setup. Decide which you want to be primary and on the left or right.
