Alright. So I have a Radeon HD7950. Im wondering if I should upgrade IT or my i5 2500k 3.3ghz processor to get the best bang for my buck in an upgrade.

Also, should i have select options selected for my Graphics card to help with performance?

Dont know where to find other vital information, as I said, am 'Computer Illiterate'

I play Dota 2 mostly, but would be nice to be able to run any Consumer grade games/programs (no crazy photoshop or whatever)

Overclock the cpu to 4+, And you'll be fine.


You should be able to run most games just fine with a 7950 @ 1080p

Yeah that looks good to me. Unless you're trying to play a game and are getting subpar performance, you really have to ask: do i need to upgrade?

Was looking to get Witcher 3 when it came out, I have all sorts of games. Money isnt a problem, but I am stingy so I just was wondering what would let me run almost everything max.

I still use a 2500k + 7950 but I'd upgrade the video card first.

There's a huge library of overclock tutorials on the internet.

beginner tips: don't increase the cpu voltage greater than 1.5v and cpu frequancy 5.0
Cpu max temp is ~90 celcius
Video card max temp ~100 celcius
