Hi guys,

Looking for a small rig ideally (form factor) but I only have a 500-600 ish budget ! Heat is tough on my macbook when I'm at home and I don't want the battery to wear off.. I can usually go for full days without charging when I'm at Univeristy.

I don't need any OS.

I'll mainly be using the computer for programming at home. I'll be needing 8gb ram since I usually have a vm running.

I was looking for a NUC or a Brix but I could not find anything that would convince me to buy it (at its price).

Could you guys please suggest me ?

Just overclock the G3258 if you want to. It will beat that i3 if you do.

Problem is integrated graphics sucks :/

he probably didn't included a gpu bc your original build did not...you have 220 bucks of leeway...you can put in a 280 (bottom build)

alternatively you could use the 8320 with a 280 but that's slightly outa your buget with a SSD (top build)
