Hello I'm having problems with my RAM being to low I run a 64bit Windows 7 on 2x 2GB of RAM with an Intel DP35DP Motherboard but she only runs DDR2 memory on a max of 8GB. My PC was just formated and still significantly slower then it use to be. I heard Windows 7 eats up allot of RAM on its own and people have been suggesting me to upgrade my RAM to correct the problem. Now instead of buying old DDR2 technology and dealing with the compatibility issues with the 2x current RAM sticks I have I was considering buying a new motherboard that could support DDR3 RAM technology but I am confused and clueless on which brand or model to buy. Not looking for anything expensive ISO: average or below average price. Must support my current graphic card GeForce 8800 GTX and Intel Core 2Quad Q6600 processor and have upgrade options for possible other upgrades in the next few years for the rest of the parts in a computer.

Any suggestions? Opinions?

If you upgrade to a motherboard with DDR3 RAM, you'll have to get a new CPU too.

Best thing for your budget is just to get 8GB of RAM. Otherwise, you'll have to spend at least $200 on parts to get DDr3 RAM.
