So the "thermal grease" that came with my cooler, is that the same thing as thermal paste?
in everything I read/watched they say to put thermal paste on the the mobo but the installation guide with the "thermal grease" is doing the same thing so i think they're the same just called differently, am i right?

Its got all sorts of names, Same stuff though.
