Why would you want a slower monitor?

You won't notice much of a difference under normal circumstances between 1ms and 5ms, but when there are lots of things happening in quick succession, the lower input time is better because the monitor can display it faster.

Like I said though, you probably won't notice a huger difference, if any at all under normal use.

well if thats how it works then if its used for a gaming monitor and 1ms is better for anti ghosting then prob 1ms would be best yes?

Generally, yes, but go to the store and test it out if you want to. Compare a 5ms to a 1ms monitor and see if you can notice anything different between the two.

to my understanding you cant completely go off of the ms time, cause different companies test it differently. dont let 5ms on a good monitor fool you.
