^^^ this is the current set up I have picked out. Red/Black theme is sort of going for it and would be cool if continued in your guy's builds. Otherwise color themes like blue/black and green/black are cool too.

Also curious if its worth going 4k right now or waiting until next year around xmas time to make the jump to 4k. If waiting is the better option, why? And if I choose to wait whats a good monitor for now that is above 1080p that can attempt to utilize this beast?

Thanks for your help guys

4k monitor isn't a bad purchase, if your running a lot of fps games then you would benefit more from refresh rate and 1440p over 4k.

I can tell you right now I have the 4k samsung UD590 with SLI 970's and I love it. Don't see any problems in games but I dont play any FPS, although I dont see frame rate being a huge issue even if i did.

/edit
Can add more ram but not much point, mobo you chose was solid however you can go with the one I chose and it has a good quality wifi adapter already. There are other ways to get windows program for cheaper reddit and stuff like that so if your looking to save a little more money you can do that. If your going to play a lot of FPS games like I said you can get close to your 2500 budget and go way too ridiculous and get the ROG swift monitor but it's spendy ~750

Yolo the 980's.

Personally though, I would wait until next year. The 980ti and Titan II will be out by then and you can (probbaly) run 4k on a single card. Also, no reason to get an i7 if you're just going to be gaming.
