I'll be doing moderate/heavy gaming with this rig.

Will these components run dual monitors with no problem?

Opinions much appreciated.

Thanks for the help.

Yes. The R9 290 is high end. Just make sure your PSU will put out enough power. You'll be using 1080p monitors?

Two of these:

Also, what else is necessary for this build? And, what OS would you suggest for gaming in general with this rig, Windows 7?

Thanks again.

Might wanna switch to a Corsair 300R case ($60)(those vid card(s) are pretty long) ...and add a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler (about $30).

If you want a CD/DVD burner, that would be an option as well. They cost about $18.

That should do well. Are you planning on playing on two screens or just playing on one and then using the other for videos, web, etc?

What case would you suggest that would be best for the video card and the CPU cooler mentioned above?

Playing on one and etc. on the other. The graphics card I have up there only has 1 hdmi input, but it has do dvi inputs. Should I plan on plugging both monitors into either dvi's or could I use an hdmi and a dvi? Would that mess things up?

Thanks for the help.

The Corsair 300R is the case I would get, it's almost the same price and will fit the CPU cooler and the vid card(s) as well.
