Curious as to what the community could recommend that I can use as a reference. We are building a tower for my brother in law with a 600ish budget. We can go a little over. Can throw a donation to the most helpful. Thanks!

I can probably get my sister to spend an extra 100 to 200 on the setup if it's worth the extra. I was having a lot of trouble making one for $600 that didn't look like shit to me...

I would recommend more like a minimum of an $850 budget these days.
We CAN build a $600 computer, but you probably won't like it.

/e To be completely honest...$1000 is more like it. At this price range you get a very good comp, that won't break, and will not NEED to be upgraded in 6 months. We CAN do that for $850 as well, but we won't be using the best parts.

/e This is what I would get...I know the vid card is more than you may need but it's probably the best price/performance card on the market at this time.

/ee I could get this build down to $800, but I wouldn't feel as good about my recommendations, as I would with this build.

/eee If you live near a Micro Center, get w/e parts you can there...then just order the rest...it'll save you maybe $75-$100

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/87XwjX for $600 there. You could definitely play any modern PC game on that with max or high settings.

spend 150extra,
i'd say it's worth.

Otherwise, downgrade the GPU to something even weaker.. like 750ti tho i don't recommend it.
