Say I have 500 to use. A nice practical constraint, but enough wiggle room to have some options. First thought is obviously a budget gaming rig, that would probably skimp on things like optical drives for better GPU/cpu etc. Thats nice, but what else can i do?

Some desktop for some other task? Graphical stuff? Audiophile rig?

What other computing hardware is out there... super old off of store shelves stuff? Mess around with that for free?

What if I just bought massive amounts of hard drive space and stored peoples data for a minimal fee? That sounds like a ship that has sailed.

You tell me

Yeah I know that. Which is why I'm wondering what Microscoft was thinking when they came up with their microsoft account thing. The thing trying to get me to sign up for some bs microsoft account to get access to cloud storage when my computer comes with dropbox space.
