Motherboard: Some 1156 gigabyte mobo with 1x 16x pci-e and 1x 4x pci-e in xfire

Think its this one

CPU: i5 750

GPU: Asus EAH6850 DirectCU

Memory: 2 x kingston value ram total 4 gb

I want to be able to run upcoming games, no need to max everything.
What can I keep in there? Maybe case / psu / HDD?

Is it worth trying to get a used asus 6850 and xfire?

What CPU / mobo combo deal do you recommend

BTW I'm from Canada.

Thanks!

https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download

Download that.
Screenshot the main window
Upload the screenshot to Imgur
Post the image here.

That will give us a better idea of the parts (Specifically the Motherboard).

You honestly think I could keep using that i5 750? It's stock now, wonder if a decent OC would be sufficient for now

My GPU runs a mild OC too, ill confirm the clocks

i'm at work atm, ill just open the side of the case and confirm once im back home :`)

Is it normal that shader clock is at 0?

Even if the PC is running fine I plan on formating it soon, I never had to since I got it in 2009.

Ill clean the heatsink and fan, apply new paste.

Little tune up.

Maybe I should try and OC my i5 750..

Overclock your CPU, it looks a little toasty right now so you'll probably need a different heatsink, look into it.

Sell your 6850 and buy something better, maybe purchase more ram and or a different set of ram.

E: Aim for 4+ ghz overclock on your CPU, if it's doable.

So keeping that mobo and cpu, after a decent OC, wont bottleneck a more recent GPU?

May bottleneck a higher end GPU slightly in a handful of games, but even then it wouldn't be extremely noticeable.
