Hey guys, I'm looking to get a desktop. All I really want it to do is play all the Batman games on Steam at a pretty high setting (and hopefully run Batman: Arkham Knight at a decent framerate). Same with TF2, Amnesia (hopefully on linux) and COD: MW2. I'm just sick of playing DoD (the not Source version) and having it lag and stutter because my computer sucks.

Don't really need an OS or a hard drive.

I'm willing to throw some gold your way for your trouble and quality input.

Budget is about 600 dollars.

Edit: If you guys can avoid ATI/AMD, that would be preferable. I have had way too many issues in linux with those. If you can't go for nvidia/intel on a 600 dollar budget I understand.
Second edit: I have no problems putting one of these together. I've put together two or three desktops before.
