I'm torn between MSI and Gigabyte for the Nvidia 970
I have heard various pros and cons for both but just can't decide
Does anyone own either of these (likely the gaming versions, or I head the twin frozr for MSI is a good choice too) and can help me pick?

MSI

They are also $15 off atm with promo code so I will probably get asap as soon as I decide

If it helps, I will likely be overclocking the gpu whenever I get it

Why do you say EVGA overall and MSI out of the two?

The MSI will run quieter and draw less power, but the Gigabyte is slightly faster for slightly higher cost.

Pick whatever is most important to you.

Out of the two --> MSI for the Zero fan mode (no load= no noise at all).
Depending on your case, Asus Strix might be a solid choice as well because it has the potential to remain the silent 970 under load.

This.

I can also confirm, that the MSI 970 TF is quieter in day-to-day usage than the MSI 770 TF. Meaning, it's silent as fuk for a GPU.
