what i currently came up with

in the 970/mobo
whats better asus or gigabyte? i hear the asus is a little fatter than the gigabyte? might not be not true
any sites out there that i can compare the to?

also any suggestions on the ram? or is what i picked decent?

already have a ssd,case,moninitor,windows and what not
i only need the parts i have selected, please dont post a random upgrade unless you have a valid reason for it

case is the corsair 750d [for size]

looking to spend around 1k for everything
looking to buy anytime before christmas

Motherboard is fine.

The Gigabyte G1 is better, but its $368, not $349.

The difference are really minor though. You're fine with either the Gigabyte (G1 or not), MSI Twin Frozr, or ASUS Strix.

If you don't have the PSU yet, you could get similar ones that fit your needs like 30$ cheaper.
For the 970, go with either MSI Gaming or Asus Strix. Don't get too caught up in manufacturers' MHz numbers etc... you'll want to OC your GPU yourself either way.

btw the g1 is out of stock on newegg
is there anything else thats a little better, but is worth the price
