labtop dying on me slowly

Budget: 1000-1500$
More specific use (what games, what programs): Gaming and watching streams at the same time on max settings (wow, d3, hs, lol, sc2, cod)
Planned time until purchase: black friday/cyber monay (by this week or next)
Do you need an Operating System?: 8.1 needed
Do you have any specific preferred components?: ssd 250 samsung
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: wireless card or adapter due to where I am living I can't directly connect modem to pc (too far)
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: if someone can teach me how to otherwise not planning on it
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: monitor and keyboard
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): T3K 3Y6 Calgary, AB

Also need a case around 100-120 would be fine ( heard NZXT ones are good)

If you can get Windows 8.1 from other sources, you can save yourself up to $100.


That build is overkill for your games listed, but it'll handle anything you throw at it in the near future. If you want something lower on the budget let me know and I'll move things around.

Win8.1 comes with a key, that's the important part. He also has a laptop and I'm sure he has a USB.

Optical Drives are no longer necessary and therefore I don't recommend one unless stated one is needed (it should be asked in the sticky imo).


@OP: If you do want an optical drive for occasional use, I recommend getting a $20 external. Obsolete technology is obsolete. :ph34r:

not sure why every1 bashes optical drives that much
they are not obsolete yet, far from that.
thing isnt a casette player..

Last sentence was a joke, ofc. I love optical drives, they look great with my punch cards and vacuum tubes. :ph34r:
