I built this PC myself in Nov 2009 and nothing has been upgraded yet. I spent alot of money on it at the time.
CPU:

VIDEO CARD:
XFX HD-587A-ZNF9 Radeon HD 5870
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150443
MOBO:
ASUS P7P55D PRO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel

RAM:
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

CASE:
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021
PSU:
Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371025
Win 7 64 bit OS
500 GB HD
I want to be able to play games like Shadows of Mordor and Dragon Age: Inq
I saw this deal for a video card
MSI Radeon R7 260X
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?sdtid=7359546&EdpNo=8573830&sku=RSC-102014580&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&utm_source=Linkshare&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=lw9MynSeamY&AffiliateID=lw9MynSeamY-6ufQEsckMQiZmnpmJ1mUDQ
$65 after rebate.
Was thinking of getting that and 8 gig of ram and call it a day. Need some advice on what RAM to get and if my PSU can handle this video card and if its even compatible with my mobo. Thanks.

Upgrade to 8gb ram, overclock your CPU and your Gpu is more than fair for the game, you would actually be side stepping.

What would be a good GPU after I overclock my CPU and get 8 gig of RAM.

what is your budget?
I would hope that is around 150? ^^
Also when playing shadow of mordor i had an issue with frame rates dropping to 30 randomly. would be 60 then at some points just plummet to 30. once i set frame rate to maximum of 30 i had no issues.
