So here's the deal, I'm terrible with computers and know nearly nothing.
I'm running a few windows of an old game at the same time *whistles* and my computer can't take more than 2 at the same time anymore.
Other than that, I'm not doing anything else special to be honest... Facebook, emails, youtube that's about it.

I want to build a computer on my own this time. (Because it looks like a nice challenge when I look at the unified pin topic and, obviously, because I'll save money haha!)
Not going out too often anymore so might prefer a gaming computer that will last as long as possible over time like last one.

I already have these accessories: mouse, keyboard, screen, speakers. (hard drive 2TB sata / 64 mb cache WD20EZRX Worth it/compatible?)

-Budget is pretty opened as my last one cost me 2,5k. Would rather around 1-1.5k but can go over 2k as well so I'm mostly focusing on quality/trying to last over time system!
-Mostly playing shooters and D2 for now. I love to use max gfx/sound quality on everything though, as when I was playing WoW!! Might buy a new game soon. I never close my comp or almost not... bad?
-I don't have any preferences for components beside performances. I don't care what it looks like, will check the screen anyways and want to be able to sleep in the other room nearby ;)
-Thinking of buying in 1 month unless there's a nice deal shortly.
-Would need windows as I lost my CDs... Windows 8.1 pro build 9600 atm.
-Good/basic cooling system as it's high on a desk and never leave cpu door closed. Won't overclock.
-I'm in canada, Qc.

This time, I'm opened to suggestions and comments beside "Go play outside" lol!
Thanks for reading and helping :)

Its likely nobody will attempt to give you a build because you want to buy in 1 month. [prices change, sometimes dramatically, day by day on any particular product]

So we can't really give youa specific budget. because that EVGA Gtx 970 might be 300 now, 250 next month type of thing. [or 300 now, 300 next month but a different brand that we didnt even tell you is 250]
I hope you see the issue.

My suggestion is to come back closer to the date in which you would like to buy and people can help you then.

You are right and I understand. Since the budget isn't really a problem though, I was hoping that we could get over that fact?
I'd rather buy sooner than later. (Anyways these guys takes credit cards don't they? lol ^^)

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/wm4jbv <-- Basic Build some parts are changed, I would find a way to get windows alternatively without paying ;)
Pick a case you like, you also can reduce the ram to 8GB 16GB is way overkill,

It's just got everything you need but can be made cheaper

e// PSU is also overkill just stuck it in because gives chance to SLI later on

Similar to devo's

I think you'd be happy with this as the build is solid, but I'd love comments from others as to what they would change and for what reason.

Hey thanks guys for your builds!!
A friend just told me that it would be better to wait a few months because the new generation is coming? (3.0)
I could wait even if I would prefer to have a new one now. It's starting to lag and video card is dying.

New generation of what? ^_^
the Gtx 900 line is the next generation of cards. AMD hasn't released theirs yet [r9 300 series]
I included a gtx 970 in the build. Unless you were meaning so you could get old gen for cheaper?

Idk, he told me that only and that he would have more infos next week -_-
It's not the best timing to make me wait lol!
I want the top quality/price (quality ahead though) since I'll most likely end up keeping this cpu I'll build for another decade lol!

I would say just build now, technology is one of those things that you will always be waiting for the next best thing. Even if AMD releases there 300 series there's no guarantee they will be much of an upgrade or even worth it.
