A friend of mine wants me to put together a black and red computer build

I have the CPU cooler picked out but I am having trouble deciding on what Case to get.

Needs
- Able to max out WoW with 60 FPS
- Able to max out skyrim with 60 FPS WITH graphical mods
- Ability to max out future games such as overwatch
- Lots of red LEDs
- Window to see inside the case.
- Would prefer a midtower maybe something a little more box like.

price range 1600

I would go with this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LnWmQ7
Left $150 in budget for your CPU cooler + HDD of choice.

Because $1600 budget, 16gb provides minor speed boost in some circumstances, and more "future-proof".

But ya, OP could definitely switch it to 8gb Trident X if he wants to save $83.

Unless you have a crystal ball that can tell you what's going to happen in the next 2-3 years, there is no such thing as future-fucking proofing. End of story.

Unlike Mr. IGotHacked, I can't justify spending more than this. The reality is that you friend will probably never use more than 20-30% of this build's capabilities. This case is up for grabs since I don't know if your friend wants a CD drive or not. You can also get a cheaper PSU. I recommended the EVGA one because it was just such a pleasure to work with on the last build I made.

"Upgrades" to this build would be swapping the 970 for a 980 and the i5-4690k for a i7-4790k.

In the event your friend wants to go even lower....

And dump the rest of the funds into lights/dragon stickers, nice peripherals, and 1 or 2 nice monitors.

Going to go with the first build thank you. Yeah the only reason to go with a I7 is if you need to hyperthread really...

I think my friend may use the extra money in his budget to get a 2nd 970
