My current card is shit and I need a better one

I'm currently running an Nvidia Gt 610 on a computer that is slotted to HANDLE SO MUCH MORE..

Not 100% sure what i'm looking for but I believe it's a 450W

budget is like 200$ maybe more if the card is unbelievably worth it.

open your computer case. it should show the company name and maybe a unit name. if you cant find anything, take a picture of your power supply for us.

In your price range normally I would suggest a good brand r9 280 and OC it. However, since you're only running 450W you're going to be restricted to NVIDIA.

If you're in US and can up your budget to $330-350, a 970 would be a great investment and you wouldn't need to replace your PSU just yet. (references only pull ~140W under load)

e/ That is, assuming your capacitors haven't degraded too much of course...

Really don't want to spend half of what's in my wallet right now.

And i'm not sure. The computer is fairly new got it end of last year.

Then unless you want to upgrade your PSU or underclock your new GPU, I wouldn't get anything above a 750ti.
