just above the price for a 1tb hhd


performance is way better then a hhd and the storage is just as big as hhd with improved performance, not as good as ssd but still much faster then normal hhd.

is this correct in my understanding of a hybrid drive?


im looking for best bang for buck generalizing both storage capabilities and it seems the hybrids are best storage capacity, while being faster like a ssd.

I have a 2tb of that model.. love it... it's a bit faster than having a cache ssd... Total boot time for windows 8.1 on that is roughly 30-40 seconds seconds... ssd takes about 15-20 seconds... and hdd takes a little over a minute... Remember though the SSHD only performs SIMILAR to an SSD during cache operations.. if you want to see and overall performance upgrade i'd go with an ssd plus an hdd

get a 256gb sdd and a 1tb hdd cause yolo

funds wise i'd just get a 120-128 gb ssd and a 1tb hdd... would be ~110$

With hybrids you're essentially paying $25 for an 8GB SSD with an Adaptive Memory controller. Personally, I would rather have 120-250GB of better NAND at $0.50/GB and the control over where my files go.
