Hey guys,

I need to order 6 systems with the following minimum specs:

Processor: i5 3.3 Ghz or faster
RAM: 4GB SDRAM or DDR
Hard drive: 500GB or larger

otherwise pretty much bare essentials, nothing fancy.

As others have asked, max budget per system, any operating system preferences, and laptops or desktops?

the i5 turbos to 3.3ghz

Could always call dell and get a discount on their systems if you buy in bulk.

x6

you also may need to pick up this -- http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646g1840
in case your mobo needs a flash before installing the cpu listed in that spec above.

I am unsure why you would recommend a Z87 board without an unlocked processor, especially since he most likely does not plan on overclocking since it is only a business use basic PC.

If anything:

or

Suits his needs better even. Its only 3.2 GHz but it has a lower TDP so it generates less heat. This board also comes with the UEFI BIOS from Gigabyte which already supports Haswell Refresh. He could switch to the regular i5 4690 for 3.3 GHz and actually save $15, but it would run slightly warmer.

However, he would still need to buy 6 licenses of Windows and build everything and install everything himself. I assume he doesn't want to go through this ordeal with 6 systems, which is why he wants prebuilt pcs.
