Curious if it'd be wise to build a computer for my friend, I know how so that's not an issue, but if something he does messes it up he'll probably end up blaming me for it.
If any problems arise he'll blame the builder and he'll probably bug me long time if he has issues with it, he's not too tech savvy... what do you guys think?

I won't be making much money off him either. build total around 600-800 region. My profit around 50-100.
I'll be giving him an OS too, I get them for free, and photoshop.

I would but I would also make it very clear that although you guarantee your work if he does something like get a virus or do dumb things thats not on you

Just make sure he knows it's business, nothing personal that will involve your friendship if you care about that friend.

Why wouldn't you make money?

Just be sure to explain to him what could arise and that if it's working once he receives it nothing
there after can be a result of you and it's either manufacturing defect or user related.

tell him to go fuck himself, and get himself a prebuilt, so he can blame it on the place he bought it from

I built a computer for a friend
Had to update bios, bricked it. This is like... within 3 hours of getting all the parts
He got super pissed and told me that I knew nothing and that he wanted to return everything because it was a bad idea.

After an hour of coercing him that it was all bad luck, I contacted amazon and had them overnight a new mobo free of charge.

I build average pcs for $50 charge. Custom modding cost more, OS cost more etc etc

I'll build it free for friends, err, actually I usually ask them to buy a 4pk of Monster.
