So I am thinking up upgrading to a new desktop, primarily for gaming with my 2 most anticipated games coming out very soon, DA:I and Witcher 3.
My budget is ~$1000.00 and my time frame to purchase would be within 2-3 weeks.

This is what I have come up with so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9sh8xr

I am not sure about the cooler, case, or mobo but I *think* it looks ok?

One thing I am a bit particular about is I would like this machine to be as quiet as possible while still having some decent power to it.

I prefer Intel and Nvidia builds but am willing to compromise on the CPU to afford a great GPU seeing as CPU won't really matter too much for me on this machine, the most CPU intensive work I do is Photoshop and AI.

Let me know your thoughts!

This with Ripjaws X 1866MHz or Trident X 2400MHz.

I would spend the extra $10 and get the Trident. B)

Clock speeds on ram makes virtually no difference in gaming... only in rendering and load times that are useless to the average user but useful in a professional setting where that 1-2 seconds will add up over the course of a day. Save money and go for 1600 unless 1866 or higher is on sale for cheaper

I absolutely agree, and yes the 1866 is cheaper than 1600 for Ripjaws X.

Trident X is newer with slightly better performance, even if ran at 1600. Plus it has the option for a high, stable OC in the future. But whether that's worth a $10 difference comes down to personal opinion.

builds posted here might be able to be improved, considering price of parts change often.
