Recently swapped my old i5-9600k out with a Ryzen 5-7500F.

With the new CPU I got a B650 Gigabyte Eagle AX + be quiet! PURE ROCK PRO 3.
I used Thermal Grizzly kryonaut as my cooling paste.

When I boot up any game, my CPU fans start spinning like a jet motor, and I tried adjusting the fan curves etc., but even in ultra silent mode, it still makes ALOT of noise.

My CPU is at around 80-85 C when playing games like PoE2, GTA etc.

I think most of the noise is comming from the Pure Rock Pro3, when the air gets into the ventilation system - and not the fan's themselves.

Anyone had similar issues or have any information that is useful for me? Should I just buy a new CPU Cooler, or is my speculations wrong about it being the CPU cooler?

Is the cooler mounted correctly? Is the plastic removed from the bottom of cooler before use? Are your CPU fans plugged into the CPU fan header(s)? Are you certain it's not your GPU?

Things when using an air cooler make sure that you have the fans oriented correctly for proper airflow within intake exhaust if they aren’t or oriented properly that could totally mess up your temps. Also the case you’re using since you’re using an air cooler make sure that it has plenty of Holes and vents for airflow as well. That being said compatibility wise everything should work and your temps should not be that bad at all.

Yesterday I took off my CPU cooler, applied new paste with a new technique (few dots instead of a pea in the middle), re-applied everything, and now after a gaming session with PoE2, HWiNFO says the CPU was max at 61 C - also the noise is ALOT better now.

Thank you.

If your thermal paste pea size is too large, then you may see 5-8C high temps on average. ( when idle )
If its a little too small, then the temps may be 12-15C higher than average ( when idle ).

If your fans sound like jets, and Temps are high , when your just sitting in your Hideout in POE2, then yeah, Then yeah your CPU cooler wasn't mounted correctly.

I've heard good things about Be Quiet and Peerless Assassins. I think your CPU cooler has some fan issues or its dusty because I was never able to hear my Low-Profile NH-L9i Chromax.Black (Yes! My ASRock ITX mobo at the time specifically took an intel cooler) on a 65W TDP CPU (Ryzen 3600x) at all even in the smallest of ITX cases. My idle temps were around 30-35 and 60-65 when gaming.
