I've never had a desktop in my adult life. Always had laptops. I would really like to build one for around 500-700. Doesn't have to be crazy cool looking. Just best function for d2/poe and maybe rust. Running windows, trying to do this myself but don't know what components to buy that will all mesh well. The pre-made stuff just seems really overpriced for them to assemble it

if you can get brand new ryzen 7 7700 processor for like 150 usd from Aliexpress or somewhere else you can go with that instead

Edit : you can go with gpus like rx 6600 , rtx 3060 12 gb , rtx 4060 8 gb or rtx 5060 8 gb , maybe some second hand rtx 3070 or 3080 or rx 7700 xt 12 gb = whatever you like and you can find for best price and fits your budged

if you want power efficient build that can play most modern games with 40 - 60 FPS , without the need of graphics card you can go with ryzen 7 8700g processor that has a strong enought integrated graphics card

the power supply can be upgraded to B or A tier rated on the PSU tier list , since the one i listed is C tier

Your list is good. I recommend top tier power supply myself. Name brand, high efficiency rating, at least 20% more power capacity than anticipated system max power. Quality cables, especially the newer ones for monster gfx that have 90 degree bends, true modular, good internal fan, quality capacitors
