Looking into building a new gaming pc. Most of the crap I play I could play in 4k on either but I honestly am just hoping to game in 1080 or 1440p without stutters and have the option to have it hooked to a 4k tv for movies. I looked as much as I know how to and it looked like the 9070 draws less power and stays cooler but certain games do perform better with the 7900. That being said I'm seeing more vram = better for future proof. I'm honestly guessing for my lackluster needs the 9070 would be better as far as power consumption and temp but similar performance. I could completely be missing something though and that is why i am here lol.

I went with the 7900xt myself because the extra vram is nice for multiboxing (and it was on sale), but if you are just playing a single game at a time then I'd probably go with the 9070xt. Tough choice since both are good options.

Appreciate the reply, still leaning toward the 9070xt.

Planning on 7600x3d or 7800x3d cpu in combo with the 9070xt. That being said is it worth AIO or is air cooling fine?

Great choice for sure, I upgraded to a 7900x3d from a 7500f and I love it, all my stutters have gone away. Although I'd recommend the 7800x3d since it uses 8 core ccd instead of 6 core, and it gets marginally better performance in gaming. Not familiar with the 7600x3d but from what I just googled it looks promising.
I have no experience with anything besides air cooling as it's always been enough, and my Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE keeps every cpu i've used it on nice and cool.
Good luck on your build!

Yea the 7600x3d is a microcenter exclusive and I live near enough to one but did find out that its 6 core not 8 so thats out.

This is where I think I'm pretty comfortable with what I have in the cart.

-MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply - ATX 3.0 Compatible

-Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB Samsung V NAND TLC NAND PCIe Gen 4 x4 and PCIe Gen 5 x2 NVMe M.2 Internal SSD

-AIR 903 MAX Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Black

-Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB CPU Air Cooler

-Ryzen 7 7800X3D Raphael AM5 4.2GHz 8-Core Boxed Processor

-B650-E TUF Gaming WiFi AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard

-Corsair VENGEANCE RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL30 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30K - Black

-ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR6 PCIe 5.0 Graphics Card

If anyone has any further input on something that might need changed. Graphics card may change because of availability and price but would still be 9070xt. I appreciate your help already @Pale.
