Going to be building a new PC when the new series drops

Need to replace my entire PC as i have a 1080 and 6700k and it is slow when running things now.

I play POE2, D4, OSRS, other titles as released

MOBO: Not Sure

CPU: Not sure, wanted to go Intel.

GPU: NVIDIA 5080

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 Series (Intel XMP 3.0) DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MT/s CL32-39-39-102 1.40V Desktop Computer Memory UDIMM - Matte Black (F5-6400J3239G32GX2-RS5K)

PSU: CORSAIR RM1000x Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - 80 PLUS Gold - Low-Noise Fan - Zero RPM - Black

https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-RM1000x-Fully-Modular-Supply/dp/B08R5PH1VY/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Drives: M2 Storage

Cooler: Liquid

Case: Have a Case

Monitor: Hopefully 27 inch OLED 4k is out at this time the next gen is out.

What do you think of the build? Is the RAM and PSU good enough to run next gen? IDK what motherboard to consider for intel

No sense deciding on a build right now, wait until 5000 series is released.

Don't got intel man I can be the perfect example, I was and always will be an AMD fan boy. I decided to go intel after the 14900k new microcode and its still completely unstable crashing at idle with only XMP I turned on and this a fresh out the box all new windows install everything rebuild. Intel has crapped the bed and is still doing so. If you're going to be purely gaming man get the 7800x3d or 9800x3d you won't regret it.

Which mobo you have and what rams exactly? If you have shit bin cpu and medi/trash mobo with 7200+ cl34< and run xmp this could be more likely issue rather then the bs with microcode or if you try to run quad channel xmp which probly puts so much pressure on memory controller it just can't hold up with xmp with 13-14 gen you would like to go 2x24 instead of 4x16 since those dont stress that much the controller with ddr5 ridiculous speeds

I returned it and did myself a favor and i am running a 9800x3d now with an x870 lol and it would even run like crap without xmp enabled just an all around bad experience

True, I bought a 1000 watt PSU for now and I got some RAM. Hopefully I didn't screw myself with buying the RAM early.

I've heard AMD is insanely good now. I did some research, did Arrow Lake get released from Intel? Is it still garbage?

9800x3d for gaming has blown everything out of the water just stick to AMD tbh. Intel has pushed blame on everyone else except themselves and have handled their failures with 13th and 14th gen terribly. Lost every ounce of respect for them.

Not a fan of Intel chiplet designs.
I'd rather have X amount of total usable cores, than half the cores being 'High performance' and the other half being 'efficiency cores'
Intel Chips always run really hot compared to AMD chips anyways, even if the energy use is comparable intel chips are just turn the pc into a space heater.

 good luck getting a 5000 series rtx card all scalped by bots and low stock. 2600$ for a 5090 32gb if you can even find one. I highly recommend skipping this gen. not to mention the low hardware gains and the fact that Nvidia is using AI to make these cards seem faster than they really are to artificially bump up the prices.
