Hey!
So PoE2 is coming out and it's making me realize my current rig is kinda right where "recommended specs" are. I'm using an i9-9900K with 124 GB RAM and a 2070 Super. I looked into upgrading just the video card, but if I want a modern one (4080++), I'd need a new motherboard, which means new RAM because the old one won't fit and it also means a new power supply. At that point I don't know if my current setup would have enough room or fans.
It's pissing me off a bit because I work on this computer and I'm REALLY FUCKING NOT looking to upgrade to windows 11. I also hate having to setup a new computer, re-install everything, etc. If there is some way to salvage my windows 10 and the current setup on my SSD with no reinstall, it would be ideal!
I've got 5-6k$ (CAD) available to throw at a new rig.
Ultimately I want this new computer to last me a very long time. I want high gaming performance WITHOUT overclocking, low chances of something breaking and as much RAM as I can put in.
If you guys could help me decide on the pieces, I'd appreciate it.
EDIT: I should add that I'm also open to the possibility of doing minimal upgrades to my current rig that would improve the overall performance without requiring a reinstall of windows/softwares. Maybe going for a video card in the 3000 range (assuming my current power supply can handle that)
