I am looking to buy this pre built PC from starforged, but it only has 16gb ram. Anybody know if I can upgrade the RAM with that specific motherboard to 64 or 128gb instead of 16gb?

And if so, can you link me compatible 64 or 128 ram. Thanks alot!

I am very computer illiterate. I read it can support 128gb ram, but I don't know if that will mess with the rest of the pc...i heard ram is cheap, so why wouldn't starforged put more in from the beginning?

Lastly, if I buy bigger ram, is it something I can easily swap out myself?

They're using a cheap crypto mining board for that pre-build so it only has two dimm slots for RAM
I would get the 32gb option

You dont need 64 unless you're doing professional work from home or running a home server

Is it easy to swap out the RAM myself to 32gb?

Is the rest of the PC strong enough to just swap out the RAM, or do I need to go with some other hardware too for 32gb ram to work?

Looks like they have a few prebuild with the 32gb on that website, but they are $1k more to go from 16gb to 32gb RAM, and if that's the only thing I want to upgrade it seems smarter to just buy the RAM, and swap out/resell the rams I pull out

Yeah you can swap it out yourself pretty easy. It would be cheaper.
