pcie 2.0, ddr3... if you want to play older games on the lowest settings at maybe 30fps then sure. this will not run newer AAA games and if they do run it will be barely playable if you are lucky. good for emulators and xbox360 ps3 era games. maybe putting a gtx 1080ti in there would be the best upgrade if the psu can handle it and then u can play maybe ps4 xbox one era games and maybe some AAA titles but your cpu is old af and it will most likely bottleneck a gtx 1070 and above.
I had a similar system with an old intel motherboard dz68db, i5-2500, rx460, ddr3, pcie 2.0 x16 it was very playable but had trouble holding 40fps at 1080p in most modern games. I had upgraded the system to i7-2600k and a gtx 1070 and it does well at 1080p mostly maxed out settings and stays around 50-60fps in diablo 4, gta5, doom eternal, swbf2, cod, madden, fighting games i still have it hooked up to an old 1080p big screen tv and it does well.
