I built my PC at ~2018 around the time when rtx 2080 ti came out.

I've been happy with my pc so far, I got 9700k and 64gb of ram.

I'm bothered by not being able to run 8 instances of d2r, main one being in ultrawide.

I'd like to run 7 fillers and play myself in ultrawide res with ~110 fps at ultra settings while going through intense moments :D, Is this possible?

I used to be enthusiastic about pc building scene but haven't paid close attention to new releases and stuff for years now.

I would also be using nohd mod for fillers, right now I can only play 1080p on main screen while doing it and still get lag/fps drops.

Do I need the most expensive stuff to play 8/1 on ultrawide with nice hz or would this be overkill?

Hey KohlapDude

Depending on your wallet, I'd go with an upgrade on GPU OR MOBO/CPU/RAM - Combo.
That way you can upgrade a wee bit cheaper, instead of swapping it all out at once.

I'm currently on an I9-10900, with 64GB and 2080Ti, I do quite fine, but I have way more cores & a bit higher frequency than you tho.

Kind Regards

This was 1:1 my idea when I started thinking about upgrading :D, mobo/cpu/ram part

Since I'm lucky to have the means, I decided to build a new one instead and now I'm waiting for the parts

PSU is same version but 1000W instead
Extra ssd's I have, nvme is also same one I already have

I hope 7800x3d's lack of cores compared to it's a bit more expensive rivals won't downplay my goals.
There was a good deal on it at where I'm from and I really wanted to jump on it. Considering what my 9700k does now and how much more powerful 7800 is then I think there shouldn't be any issues.

It's the first time I'm changing teams and going amd, guess I'll see how it works out :)

I guess I'm over-killing it on psu and cpu cooling power/quality when reading about temps of those components but since I want to multibox stuff and pc is in use most hours of days anyway...

Besides, when I built my first pc at age 17 or something, I used a random old psu which ended up frying my stuff, since then I only go with gold + psu's :D

You’re system should be fine I can run 6 windows with 32gb ram which max out my ram usage so 64gb ram is plenty I need to add more ram on mine so I can have more fillers but been busy working :wallbash:

Do you run the 7 fillers on legacy gfx? That makes a huge difference.
