Are we talking $500+ in labor costs/ part mark ups etc

or something like a couple $100

how much are you really saving by building your own computer

Getting a Microcenter bundle alone saves ~$200, but it isn't available for everyone
Best way to check your savings is to find a prebuilt and put all the parts in pcpartpicker to see the price difference, but you usually save a couple hundred depending on sales

Depends on the tier. Higher tier computers can easily exceed $500+ premium.

The most important part about building the computer on your own is that YOU get to pick the parts that YOU want, and not some 3rd Company Product that your buyer will use to save themselves money.

Even computers like Alienware (Now Owned by DELL) will give you components that are normally not (well known) or basically use their own Brand Products.

Which is why it's normally cheaper to get a Pre-Built (but you will never know what brand they use)
