Is it overkill to use a ryzen 7 7800x3d with a 4060 gpu ?

Depends on what you're using the PC for and what games you're playing, what resolution you play on etc. Some are CPU heavy and barely use your GPU

Personally i'd go for a 4070 if it's in your budget.

Ok thank you but the 4070 is twice the price of a 4060 idk if it worth it for me considering ill be mainly playing d2r and w3 reforged... Maybe some others games eventually

My build has a 900$ CPU and a 300$ GPU. It all depends on what you are doing with the computer. Even my ram is more expensive than my GPU.

With d2r and w3 reforged you honestly don't even need a 4060.

Gamers do tend to spend more on the GPU than the CPU, but GPUs have dropped in price in the past few years.

Yeah ik a 4060 isnt necessary but if i want to play something else my build will be fine and wont need upgrade

You can literally run a gtx970 and play remastered. It really depends on what games you wanna play. You'd need to be on a newer game to be worried about what gpu you need.
