I already have an ethernet cable run from my house to the shed. Do I just need a second router? I was looking at this product TP-Link TL-WR940N 450Mbps Wireless N Cable Router, 4 Fast LAN Ports, Easy Setup, WPS Button, Supports Parent Control, Guest Wi-Fi, VPN, UK Plug https://amzn.eu/d/fSzz7J3

you'd want a router that supports a mesh network and get a mesh extender. i.e Asus ZenWiFi, Eero 6+, Google Nest Wifi

There is something call the Wi-Fi extender which is what I’m using. How do you connect two routers together?

if you are not that tech savvy this would be a good combination and not that bad of a price. you can get the 1 router + 2 extenders if you have two floors in your house to extend range as well.

Amazon eero 6 mesh Wi-Fi system

worth mentioning these are the least configurable. so if you need to do static mapping or anything more than day to day networking, you'll want something more advanced

you don't or you get IP conflicts out the wazoo.

So there is no plug and play product that I can use to give me additional ethernet sockets and repeat my WiFi signal?

nothing will be simply 'plug and play', all of these require some kind of setup.

if you want just an extender, but it just isn't as solid as a mesh network. if it's just for basic use, an extender will work but it won't be the most stable thing you've ever used.
