If it's happening with multiple cables it sounds aplike an issue with your monitor or gpu port. Monitor shutting off means it's a connection issue.

Any trash DP cable will perform about as well as the more expensive ones. They're highly standardized.

I was thinking the same thing, but when I put my old cable back in it doesn’t even recognize the monitor. I mean it is a refurbished monitor maybe I should upgrade again lol.

Your Monitor could possibly have Port Damage, and may need to solder the port better onto the monitor's motherboard.
Sometimes that connector could be pushed in, which then plastic prevents you from plugging the cable in all the way making a proper connection.

Same like the port on the back of a computer back in the day , sometimes the metal bracket would catch the connector preventing you from connecting/screwing it on all the way.

I appreciate the advice, I’ll see if I can pop the back off and take a look!
