New to owning a gaming laptop. I just picked up a used ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G15 15.6" Model:GA502IVXS76
off facebook marketplace for $500 barley used.

1. It comes with Intel 660p NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB.
Can I upgrade this to the Black SN850x 1tb internal ssd?
Will I need to reinstall windows and all the Nvidia drivers and stuff?
Is it worth the upgrade?

2. It comes with Micron 8ATF1G64HZ-3G2J1 Samsung M471A1K43DB1-CWE 16GB Ram.
It supposed to be 3200mhz but only runs at 2933mhz.
Is this worth upgrading?

any help would be much appreciated it.

Your Ram can be clocked to 3200Mhz in Bios ( Via the XMP Feature ) , Bios Update may be required.

The Intel Storage is probably 7-8% faster than the one you mentioned, and is not worth attempting to upgrade.
Don't think the laptop would support an ssd, but if it does, and your able to fit both drives, you can clone the drive.
Maybe make a backup to usb / dvd , otherwise yeah a fresh install would be recommended.

I don’t have that feature. When I ran benchmark it gave me a video on how to activate DCoP I think it was called in the bios using AI Tweeker. But doesn’t show up in the bios unfortnantly

The SN850x seems to be 1.5x faster

I also posted the wrong model number smh

This is it and onto supports Gen3 M.2 so I’m wondering if even adding a gen4 would make a difference compared to the Intel 660p

yeah thats what I was kinda thinking too because that Gen makes a huge difference, and the old one is more Focus built for the older gen.
who knows .
