Okay, so with that accumulated 2-2.5 months of saved time, what were you able to do that a person with a slower CPU couldn't do?

Have you looked at the bench marks for any rts mmo games even alot of open world games all favor Intel, by a huge margin the i3 is even beating the fx series

Secski is only trying to justify is previous purchase even though more he moved on to Intel by why would he move on if the fx series was good enough

You should look up amds r and d funding
Intel spends more than amd
Nvidia spends more too
And amd should spend twice considering that make both cpu and gpu

they've always been playing the catch up game. but with the lower cost, it's very appealing to gamers who mostly game and nothing else. because a cheaper chip & mobo = better gpu at time of purchase. i'd go intel myself for a more solid platform, but i don't wanna buy a new mobo along with the cpu.

Nope. I don't keep up with PC components, benchmarks, and all that. I just buy parts when I need to and buy what I can afford.



It's like the Ford vs. Chevy or iOS vs Android debate to me. Some people prefer one over the other. To each his own.

I wish it was like this still, amd has been dropping the ball they aimed at multithreaded software with going more cores instead of keeping up with single threaded software first, considering majority of software is single threaded

but all this can change in windows 10, if they actually change some things in windows itself, also with the directx12 games to come in the future where gpus isnt so depended on cpu(hopefully) similar to mantle
