Proved me wrong?

By doing what, proving to me had I spent money on a CPU I was unsure if I needed originally but was leaving leway for in the future I would have lost money on my investment?

u mad? i m just letting u know that your logic is completly flawed. and computer hardware = time (since new shit comes out wut every 3 months?) so even though u can upgrade for 70. its been over time and all ur hardware has declined in value and the peformance ur gettin per dollar now isnt the same as when u first bought ur shit at higher prices. ur def wrong man ur being narrow minded. computers should never be built for "upgrades" u build em , u keep them until ur games dont run on high or medium settings anymore, then u overclock em to squeeze out all the performance you can. And then and only then do you build a WHOLE NEW SYSTEM. UNLESS of course you are a millionare like everyone on jsp and u cant play games unless its in quadfire with 150fps in crysis maxed out with 16x AA and AS

umade?

I can spend $70 and have a computer completely adequate for at least another year, building with your "logic" you'd need to go spend another $1000 right now.

Apparently if I was half as stupid as you; I would have thrice the money for pointless purchases.

ok but ur singling out the cpu with that statement. if u want to consider the better motherboard, better graphics card, better ram and everything else u can too ur comptuer would of cost half. your looking at in unfairly.

As an aside to Ice, I really think he should stick with the 300 + Earthwatts PSU combo in conjuction with the rest of the parts you picked.  A good PSU is always a good thing to spend a little extra on and the 300 is a very nice low-end case.

i went for a small case, i have that same case for my media rig running HD3450/kuma 95w/750gb green/.80gb 2.5" seagate/peripherals (lighted keyboard, fans, etc)

and it runs it all fine, im very happy with that little case/PSU

as an aside, anihilator[a] or whatever is a fucking MORON

Just to cut thru the spam.

Here is my build again/

its nice, but your still putting in a fairly high end graphics card into a "home use/media" computer

seems to be way to many ati fanboys on this forum seriously.

if u get this setup u can easily clock the e6300 @ 1600fsb which would get  4.2ghz! and smoke that amd cpu which wont even clock that high

your build has cheaper ram, dead socket motherboard, which FYI, isnt all that great, and heres the thing

my RAM/CPU/Mobo costs the exact same as yours! not only is it a much newer socket, its also DDR3 RAM at 1333mhz speed, not 800, there IS a performance difference there
god, just stop posting

Honestly.. i would do this build alot different if i had read the OP carefully. Just now noticed it was for home use and not gaming. But TBH, my rig is very balanced.
