hahahahahaha
Whole point was to prove he could build same quality computer for much less... I even said in the post I would recommend upgrading stuff.

I see. Im fine with it being 1k or slightly over if it is actually worth the money you think. With that in mind, would you be able to recommend swaps in parts for that build? Also why 16 gb vs 8 gb? I thought 8 is plenty. Is there a significant difference in performance? (Why choose that brand btw...i dont see any reviews?)
Thanks for the help btw...ill probably go with the build you recommend with updates
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YXdjXP16 gb higher speed ram. 16 for ram is just the standard now with how much windows 10 uses and many modern games are utilizing more as well. You could get by with 8 and would be fine MOST of the time, but that's if you don't run background apps while gaming (browser, spotify, etc); if you start to have to page dump (swap from ram to secondary storage), it will make for a poor experience. 16 is just generally better
Higher quality SSD
Bigger HDD (twice the size for an extra $10)
The case is really a personal preference, I selected a bunch of ones I would recommend for a fair price. I would go through the "parametric selection" on the cases and decide which one you like the looks of more; they will all perform about the same when it comes to air flow
Updated with MUCH better PSU (quality brands, long warranty)
As I said in my earlier post, I would still recommend spending the extra $80 to upgrade to an i5-8600k and an H7 cooler. The ability to overclock will help the CPU keep up for an extra couple years, and the aftermarket cooler will keep your temps down better.
