ASRock started as a spinoff of ASUS. What's your issue with them? Just because you've never used one?

They're perfectly fine, and literally anyone following AMD/Ryzen development knows that the Pro4 motherboards are a great choice at the moment. The supported list from the ASRock website is irrelevant (and Seksii is flat-out wrong). They're fine right now. That Gigabyte mobo has LEDs so you know it's quality, though.

The fact that you got a Gigabyte am4 definitely hasn't led to any sort confirmation bias for you, though. I can tell.

They're working better than any others. Do you honestly believe the supported list is accurate and that they've tested every single RAM kit to ensure their list is 100% accurate and that those are the only kits that work? lolwut

key word, started as. My issue with them? Having extreme 7 and extreme 4 boards fail on me within like 8 months (they're their good boards, not some cheap junk tier like pro4) but their RMA process/support is what made me never recommend it to others.
Though that's not relevant, since everyone can have their own personal experiences hence i didnt say shit about it til you asked.
There's a reason Asrocks are cheaper. Being one of the highest failure rate mobo brands, while selling less than asus/gigabyte boards etc. should tell you something.

Also if they're perfectly fine, why are there ton of consumers crying about the pro4 mobo???

http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=5271&title=ab350m-pro4-crucial-memory-support

and yah, ur personal misinformed info is way more valuable than asrocks own official website. :bonk:
i mean, asrock doesnt have to test every single kit of rams fool, they just need to list the 3200 ones. if asrock are confident as fuck and there's absolute no issues they should have listed 3200+ rams asap in their compatibility list for more sales.
Think about it, if you know ur company is the only mobo supporting 3200mhz rams with NO PROBLEMS, wouldnt you put that on the compability list????? but they can't cuz they're having issues as well and arent gonna lie about it.

Also ofc you think gigabyte is more quality because of "led"
let's just ignore that of all b350 boards gaming 3 has the best the audio codec, dual bios, had 4 bios updates vs asrocks 2, better overclock potential, in fact im not even gonna educate you on why it's more superior, since you're too dense and ignorant.
read that, and many other shits that matter, instead of focusing on a "led" as ur definition of quality.
http://www.overclock.net/a/asrock-you-dissapointed-me-on-ryzen-launch-day-how-asrock-am4-b350-boards-failed-to-deliver-on-value-draft
asrock is so shit quality wise, they use more quantity of vrm's to attract casual consumers. You know the quality is shit when msi/gigabyte/asus mobos with less vrm's are achieving gg OC results.
What you need to know is that everyone is having these problems, regardless of brand and it will eventually be fixed.

Is this for 1080p gaming?
And did ryzen 1080p results suddenly increases with their microcode to allow more chips to run at the rated speeds?

I actually did some research while at university and it seems that almost everyone recommends the i7-7700k for gaming contrary to what everyone here suggested.
In light of this and the other suggested builds I came up with this:
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/2fbkKZ a bit over my budget but 40€ is worth it and if someone can tell me about light/safe OC I might actually give it a try this time around.
Critique?

Looks like I atleast got a bit of knowledge out of all of this.

Is the Mobo I choose good? I read a review for the PSU and it seems to be very good and its 20€ cheaper than the EVGA one while being 650W (in case I upgrade smth that needs more W or OC perhaps needs more W?)

I'll wait for one of the others to give their opinion/if theres anything to improve on and then I'll order the parts :p

The 7700k is great if you're overclocking. You had said specifically you didn't want to do it.

Hopefully you get a good one. Some people have had issues with 7700ks that reach throttling temps at stock multiplier/voltage.

Even with CLCs people are seeing mid-high 70s temps under normal usage. They just run hot... really hot.

What was it Intel said? "Don't overclock them." lol OK

Thank you, yeah you all brought forth arguments that made me rethink my position and hell why not give it a try. I guess ocing these days is pretty normal and as long as I do not overdo it, it should be fine.

You got any improvements for my build or do you think I should go ahead and order as posted above? :)

Yeah, cooler. Arctic Freezer 13, NH-D15, NH-D14, Thermalright Macho, or some sort of CLC. DarkRock 3 is just OK and apparently a major pain in the ass to install. You want really, really good cooling with a 7700k. Also, get a 550W EVGA G3 power supply. Nn semi-modular.
