1030? did i read that correct, lol.

The intel g4560 is best budget cpu to pair with 1060 and under.
Minor bottle neck but allows future upgrades and you to invest into a real gpu not this 1030 bullshit.

well i think its easier to upgrade just a GPU rather than a whole motherboard & CPU

8th generation i3's outperform older i7's, so if u're on a budget and want to play those kind of games he stated its easily upgraded + the components are latest to date and will probably last more.

also i don't know US prices since i'm european but 1060 3gb is 600$ here now

Well the g4560 is almost on par with the i3 for less then half think it's about 25% performance difference. It's basically killed the i3 market.
Why would he need a new mobo? He can go from that to a 8700k since it's the same chipset.

If you don't know prices refrain from suggesting things till you do some research, but a 1030 is literal garbage.

Thats the thing, Z370 only supports coffee lake (8th gen)

do some research.

also the Z370 motherboards aren't that cheap, so if u plan on spending another 300$ in about a year or two, go for it.

otherwise u can just buy a cheaper GPU. that would be in price range for my country's prices

well cept new i3's that are 4c/4t, nice comeback. More cache is also nice sometimes even on the older i3's vs the bargain bin priced pentium but ofc rarely worth the price diff
1030 is near 750 ti performance and about closes the gap with an OC. plenty for 1080p wow
it is not garbage. It is fit for the use case, that's what we're here to do, make a build that fits the budget and use case. Let's not be Ghot's.

Sure the 1050 is more cost effective and a significantly better card but is he really getting much of a benefit from that in wow/d2 for the extra money he spent? i don't think so no... Rather save that money in the budget for something else in the build.
Me personally I would grab an extra hard drive with the money saved or spend it on like 25 XXL Hot Squatch Sticks (if Jack Links ever starts making them again RIP)

I'm aware wow is cpu heavy vs other games but a 1050ti and a g4650 would decimate a 1030 and i3 in game.

ofc it would, but cost of an upgrade is just redonkclous

8350k will outperform g4650 in any game though, it will outperform any processor if the game runs on single core
also as i already stated 100 times, 1030 is cheap af and is easily upgraded.
