Do you have a calibration tool? If not you didn't even get 'optimal' settings.


My point is, If you don't understand something enough to give advice on it... Don't try. You're just going to mess up the OP/Other people helping.

1440p you'll need to massively upgrade your GPU to be able to run it.
27+ on 1080p ends up just stretching the pixels and making the screen look less sharp.


Make sure to get one with a decent base that doesnt flop all over the place when you nudge your desk

So if I upgrade my GPU, I might want to get a 1440? I have a ~1500$ budget for monitor + upgrading my PC

I have a 1440p 144hz monitor

I like it, But even with SLI 1080's... I don't reach 144hz on all games.

Anyway i think the OP has a good idea of what to get now.

Pay into the gimmick then I could careless. Doesn't make you gaming experience any better.

if your games going over 60fps it is. try to run 155fps on a 60hz screen gonna look real bad and hurt yours eyes.

take in consideration you will need the hardware to push the pixels of course i find its more useful in fps games more than anything else or Mobas dont really see why 144hz be useful in rts games.

of course response times important but most 144hz monitors ive seen are all 1-2ms.

i mean a 60hz monitor is fine but why invest in just a 60hz monitor seems pointless unless u dont game much beyond 60fps. again this is my experience and what i think makes sense.

if i did not game prob get a 1440p 1ms 30 inch or something tbh.
