PCIE card > USB drive! Figured with antennas it would have better range, or does it really not matter?

i use both of these on ofc 2 different computers, pcie x1 is in my gaming rig, usb is in my tech desk rig.. i run a full n/ac connection through my server/ home network; and have yet to have any problems with either adapter. i get full 600+ connect through both, so its really a persons preference as to how much they want to spend, brand name, and the connection speed they need..

i used to be cisco/linksys only, but ive found that d-link has improved and surpassed.

Without monitor:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/h6bJjX
Total: $567.83
-This system includes a six core cpu (don't get a dual core)
A 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD
GTX 950 (Don't get a 750Ti, this is slightly better price per performance and a lot newer)
Windows 10 Pro
Wireless ac card
(Without the need of Windows and Wireless card this system would of only been $16.66 and could go under budget if you take out a hard drive.)

With Monitor:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3yNMBm
Total: $652.82
-This is definitely what I recommend you get, by the way this is a 21.5" IPS monitor as well. It is $150 more then budget, but this includes everything you need.
OS, Wifi Card, and monitor.

With Monitor and only 240GB SSD:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/m6fWWZ
Total: $605.93
-This is if you want to save money and don't need that much disk space.
I highly recommend an SSD, make your system a lot faster.

With Monitor and with 1TB HDD only:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CBRdpg
Total: $592.83
-This is if you want to save money and need disk space.
However, your system won't be as fast.

If you really want to stay close to budget and not including monitor:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RgWpyc
Total: $507.84

Including your monitor in a $500 budget is way too ridiculous.

Frenchi, this is the build i have so far.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/P3ZPMp

i already ordered MB case processor and optical drive. i like the mb, but i figured i would be upgrading the processor eventually.

any you recommend on that mb? i can probably still send mine back.

e/ i also have a monitor, keyboard and mouse now.

If you plan to upgrade in the future, it won't be worth it. This system will be way too behind.
The build you gave me doesn't even include a wifi adapter or Windows10 or a Monitor.
You are also spending more on mobo then you are on processor.

This is what I would recommend for around $500.

Total: $517.76 without MIR
Total: $497.76 with MIR

This is what I would recommend for closer to $550.

Total: $537.76 with MIR
(this includes a better GPU)

naw i just didnt include the monitor or OS in the price. 5-600 w/o those things.

id like to keep the budget with the MB cpu case and op drive.

so 5-600 including those things. not on top of.

And yes, the parts were ordered from the most recent list on this page.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/KgnzBm ...updated your list, you have aproximately $250 of your 500 budget left, and for whats listed; it looks solid to me. eventually down the road id opt for a ssd, and maybe upgrade the cpu to an i5, ofc in time the gpu as well
